School District, in its commitment to inspire and promote high standards of
performance and well-being throughout the learning community, provides a
comprehensive array of learning and growth opportunities for classified staff.. This
professional development program includes:
Induction Programs

Orientation
to classified employment in the District that provides a consistent,
inclusive, welcoming experience for each newly hired classified employee to
the organization.

Mentor
program opportunities for newly hired classified employees or employees
moving to a new position within the District to support meeting job
expectations.

Skill Block
curricula aligned with District classified job descriptions
to augment initial employee orientation activities and ensure competency and personal
efficacy in an employee’s job performance by the end of their first year in
a job.
On-Going Professional Development

Classes,
workshops and other professional growth opportunities to support performance
improvement at various levels of classified staff job experience such as:

Training
classes reflect career path professional development to support vertical
movement into job opportunities within the organization.

Classified employees must obtain prior approval from
their immediate supervisor for credit to be approved by Human Resources.
Only the classes, seminars or training programs, which are directly related
to the employees’ assignment at the time of enrollment, and classes
providing training and knowledge to prepare employees to advance from their
present position, will be approved.
