Mentor Program for New and
Transferring Classified Staff
The
classified mentor program involves a partnership between two people, a Mentor
and Inductee, sharing experiences and expertise to support personal and
professional growth.
GOALS:
-
Contribute
to a new or transferred employee's (inductee's)
morale and sense of
support in learning new roles and responsibilities through open, timely, and
personal communication with a trained, classified staff mentor
-
Encourage
rapid development of confidence and competence of new employees.

Promote
increased job satisfaction through increased knowledge and skill.

Support
employees as valued professional members of the organization.
MENTOR / INDUCTEE RESPONSIBILITIES:
-
Meet
regularly together throughout the relationship for a minimum of 12-15
contact hours.

Ask, listen
and give feedback/guidance to build knowledge and skills in building and
district processes and procedures.

Complete
Induction Mentor Program requirements submitting documentation to the Office
of Professional Development including the following forms and information
available for download below:

Induction Program Cover Sheet

Individual reflections on their learning and the mentoring experience.

Time log
for mentor program experience
