Classified Walk-Through


The Classroom Walk-Through is a process for gathering snapshots of groups of classroom environments, learning experiences, and/or teacher and student perspectives as schools and staff work to reflect on and improve professional practice and student performance.

Utilize the Classroom Walk-Through process to:

  • Consistently collect real-time data in the areas of instructional best practice, innovation implementation, etc., in each classroom and school-wide.

  • Increase effectiveness of instructional coaching for every teacher.

  • Increase school-wide reflective practice and collaboration focused on learning.

  • Collect data supporting state and district requirements for Supervision and Evaluation annual reviews and professional development planning.

  • Increase achievement and close achievement gaps through alignment of school improvement goals, teacher growth goals and the Supervision and Evaluation process.

  • Increase instructional leadership effectiveness and visibility, and staff comfort with classroom visits school-wide.
